NUIQUE, EPA & DHA® is derived from algae, the source of these long chain fatty acids. Oily fish are rich sources of Omega 3 EPA & DHA, but this is due to their diet of algae. So bypassing fish and choosing a supplement derived from algae, you can be sure you’re getting a safe, toxin free omega 3 that’s great for all the family with all the benefits of fish oil Omega 3.
NUIQUE, EPA & DHA® has been manufactured to a pharmaceutical specification. We have purposely grown the algae so it produces very little naturally occurring Omega 6, Omega 9 and practically no saturated fat in the growing process. We also don’t add any additional Omega 6 in the form of sunflower oil or sunflower lecithin, a popular bulking agent in most algal oil supplements these days. Too much Omega 6 doesn’t help with the absorption of omega 3 within the body and in general there’s far too much omega 6 in the average diet these days and the body can make Omega 9 itself from other fats.
